Advance notice: Work in progress on the renewal of the Spatial Data on the Web Working Group Charter

Hello,

This is an advance notice that the W3C Team is currently working on a
new charter for the Spatial Data on the Web (SDW) Working Group:
   https://w3c.github.io/charter-drafts/2024/sdw-wg.html

The group's mission is to:

   * develop and maintain vocabularies and best practices that encourage
     better sharing of spatial data on the Web;
   * identify areas where standards should be developed jointly by both
W3C and the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC).

The SDW Working Group will develop specifications jointly with the Open
Geospatial Consortium (OGC).

We welcome input and feedback on the draft charter. If you wish to make
your comments public, please send them to the public mailing list
<public-sdw-wg@w3.org> (archive [1]).

W3C Members may send substantive comments in response to this email as
appropriate to <member-sdw-wg@w3.org>, which has a Member archive.
Members may also use the member-confidential mailing list
<w3c-ac-forum@w3.org> for general expressions of interest and support
for the draft charter.

If you should have any questions or need further information, please
feel free to contact Bert Bos <bert@w3.org>, Team Contact for the
Spatial Data on the Web Working Group.

A formal Advisory Committee Review for this charter is expected in
September/October 2024.
