Dear Advisory Committee representative,
[This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group chairs]

The Accessible Rich Internet Applications Working Group charter [1] is
hereby extended until 2024-12-31.

The group needs some time to handle the impact of the ongoing transition
from manual testing to automated testing through WPT on some
deliverables (for example Accname), as well as to adapt to the changes
of key participation in the group and the transition of WAI staff and roles.

A new charter [2] is currently under development and will be soon sent
for Horizontal Review and AC review. Comments on the draft charter can
be raised on GitHub [3].

More information about the Accessible Rich Internet Applications Working
Group can be found on its summary page [4], including information about
group Chairs, Team Contact and instructions for joining the group.

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact
Daniel Montalvo, Accessibility Specialist, at dmontalvo@w3.org.

This extension follows section 4.5 of the W3C Process Document:
https://www.w3.org/2023/Process-20231103/#charter-extension

Thank you,

For Philippe le Hegaret, W3C Strategy and Project Lead,
