Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
[This announcement will be forwarded to the group and to W3C group chairs]

The Audiobooks Working Group charter is hereby extended until 31 August
2023.
https://www.w3.org/2020/11/audiobooks-wg-charter.html

The mission of the Audiobooks Working Group is to maintain the
Publication Manifest and Audiobooks Recommendations and related Working
Group Notes.

The team is considering closing this group in the future as well as the
recently extended EPUB 3 Working Group once the EPUB Recommendation is
complete (the specification should reach Proposed Recommendation in a
few weeks), and creating a charter for a single "Publishing Maintenance
Working Group" (exact name to be determined) that would maintain all
Publishing Recommendations together. This approach seems reasonable
owing to the very large overlap of the active membership, chairs,
editors between the two groups.

More information about the Audiobooks Working Group can be found on its
home page [1], including information about group Chairs, Team Contact
and instructions for joining the group.

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact
Ivan Herman, Audiobooks Working Group team contact, at <ivan@w3.org>.

This extension follows section 4.5 of the W3C Process Document:
https://www.w3.org/2021/Process-20211102/#charter-extension

Thank you,

For Tim Berners-Lee, W3C Director,
Ivan Herman, Audiobooks Working Group Team Contact;
Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications
