Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
[This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group chairs]

The GPU for the Web Working Group charter [1] is hereby extended until
30 November 2022.

The mission of the GPU for the Web Working Group is to provide an
interface between the Web Platform and modern 3D graphics and
computation capabilities present on native system platforms.

The Working Group is making good progress towards publishing the WebGPU
[2] and WebGPU Shading Language [3] specifications as Candidate
Recommendation.

This extension will give W3C additional time to prepare a new charter.
The current draft is being discussed at:
https://github.com/gpuweb/admin/pull/18

More information about the GPU for the Web Working Group can be found on
its home page [4], including information about group Chairs, Team
Contact, and instructions for joining the group.

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact
Team Contact François Daoust <fd@w3.org>.

This extension follows section 4.5 of the W3C Process Document:
https://www.w3.org/2021/Process-20211102/#charter-extension

Thank you,

For Tim Berners-Lee, W3C Director, and
