Spatial Data on the Web Interest Group Charter Extended until 30 September 2020

Hello,

The Spatial Data on the Web Interest Group charter [1] is hereby
extended until 30 September 2020.

While receiving rechartering review from W3C Management and Strategy
Team, the question arose whether the Spatial Data on the Web Interest
Group (SDWIG) would be more appropriate as a Working Group given its REC
track deliverables. There were several specifications and a best
practices document produced originally by the Spatial Data on the Web
Working Group (SDWWG) [2] that SDWIG continued to maintain with some
potential new specifications work under consideration.

The proposed SDWIG recharter [3] will be revised during this extension
for the reformation of the Spatial Data on the Web Working Group.

More information about the SDWIG and information about participation can
be found on its home page [4].

The group is currently chaired by Linda van den Brink (Geonovum) and
Jeremy Tandy (Met Office).

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact
Ted Guild <ted@w3.org>, SDWIG Team Contact.

This extension follows section 5.2.5 of the W3C Process Document:
   https://www.w3.org/2019/Process-20190301/#charter-extension

Thank you,

For Tim Berners-Lee, W3C Director;
Wendy Seltzer, Strategy Lead,
Ted Guild, SDWIG Team Contact;
Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications
