Hello, The W3C Advisory Committee received an advance notice today that participants of the Audio Working Group [1] are working on an updated charter, currently in internal review. This updated charter will continue the existing work of defining the Web Audio API and the Web MIDI API. The Director expects to propose this charter to the Membership by late September 2016. The current charter is hereby extended to 1 December 2016, to allow the Audio WG to continue its work and to cover the time needed for the rechartering process to complete. Members may send general expressions of interest and support on <w3c-ac-forum@w3.org>. Members and public are also encouraged to send comments and suggestions for changes to the Audio Working Group mailing-list <public-audio@w3.org> (archive [2]). If you have any questions or need further information, please contact: Chris Lilley <chris@w3.org>.
