Spec Annotation Community Group Proposed

The Spec Annotation Community Group has been proposed:

--------------------------------------------------

The current W3C process for commenting on specifications is complicated
and discouraging to users. Discovering previous comments is also
challenging, and leads to lost time. It's also difficult for spec
editors to matching out-of-band comments sent through email or
issue-trackers to the spec itself. Having an annotation sidebar that
lets users create, review, and resolve spec comments would make the
workflow much easier.

For the past several months, the WebPlatform.org team has been working
to integrate the Annotator project to allow spec annotations, and it is
ready for experimental use for W3C working groups. The Spec Annotation
Community Group will collect use cases and requirements, feature
requests, and bug reports, and will help coordinate feature
implementation and bug fixes.

--------------------------------------------------

You are invited to support the creation of this group:
  http://www.w3.org/community/groups/proposed#spec-annotation

Once the group has a total of five supporters, it will be launched and
people can join to begin work. Once launched, the group will no longer
be listed as "proposed"; it will appear in the list of current groups:
  http://www.w3.org/community/groups/

In order to support the group, you will need a W3C account. To request one:

If you believe that there is an issue with this group that requires
the attention of the W3C staff, please send us email on
site-comments@w3.org.

Thank you,
W3C Community Development Team
