The Voting system Community Group has been proposed: -------------------------------------------------- There has been lengthy and recurrent discussions about reforming the voting system for AB/TAG elections. The current system is allegedly broken as it is stated by various members, but the AC is not willing to work on this unless someone comes up with a comprehensive explanation and proposal. There are many alternatives: * pick up one alternative voting system * work on a tool to create simulation * use this tool for **non official** ballot at the same time as an official ballot (which would be used with the current systen) All of these items have been proposed in various email threads in w3c-ac-forum and public-w3process list, not repeating the links here for the sake of conciseness. -------------------------------------------------- You are invited to support the creation of this group: http://www.w3.org/community/groups/proposed#voting Once the group has a total of five supporters, it will be launched and people can join to begin work. Once launched, the group will no longer be listed as "proposed"; it will appear in the list of current groups: http://www.w3.org/community/groups/ In order to support the group, you will need a W3C account. To request one: http://www.w3.org/community/account/request If you believe that there is an issue with this group that requires the attention of the W3C staff, please send us email on site-comments@w3.org. Thank you, W3C Community Development Team
