Hi Art, I wrote to you (privately) as the person who proposed the group to indicate my support for the proposal and to discuss the name, which I think suggests too strongly W3C is not an open organization. There are many ways for people to participate in W3C at no cost (including community groups, mailing lists, workshops, Web Platform Docs). I appreciate that you would like to continue in that direction. However, discussing the name is not a high priority for me, so I have pushed the button to launch the group.
