The Remote DOM Community Group has been launched: http://www.w3.org/community/remotedom/ -------------------------------------------------- Similarly to how the Shadow DOM paved the way for custom elements using web technologies, a "Remote DOM" could allow display of portions of the web app to be displayed on "remote" (i.e. "external") devices, such as screens, Smart TVs, etc. This brings interesting capabilities to web apps, such as leveraging external screens for presentation, supplemental content or second screen experiences. -------------------------------------------------- To join: http://www.w3.org/community/remotedom/join If you do not have one already, you will need a W3C account to join: http://www.w3.org/community/account/request This is a community initiative. W3C's hosting of this group does not imply endorsement of its activities. If you believe that there is an issue with this group that requires the attention of the W3C staff, please send us email on site-comments@w3.org Thank you, W3C Community Development Team
