Dear Web & Networks Interest Group, Following the discussions at TPAC last month [1], the Web & Networks IG chairs and I have been working on defining how to approach a more in depth exploration of two topics that emerged as the most appealing. We thus plan to organize our work along two work streams: * one on Network Quality Monitoring and Prediction https://www.w3.org/wiki/Network_Quality_Monitoring_and_Prediction * one on Edge Computing https://www.w3.org/wiki/Networks/Edge_computing The two wiki pages above explain in more details the intent behind these two work streams, and the initial approach the chairs intend to adopt to help the group in that exploration. Essentially, we will organize a series of 1 hour teleconferences on each topic, inviting guests to give a quick presentation on relevant work happening in W3C and elsewhere, followed by discussions to help us build a picture of what gaps, what opportunities may existing in Web technologies to accompany the developments at the network layer. Please share any feedback you may have on this; in particular, if you have suggestions of guest talks the chairs should consider, this would be most welcome. Best regards, Dom 1. https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-networks-ig/2019Sep/0003.html
