http://www.w3.org/2008/11/25-mwts-irc#T16-14-46 http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/archive/2008/11/11/internet-explorer-mobile-6.aspx seems to fail both tests. Interestingly I linked both tests from my personal scratch web page http://dabase.com/ that insanely uses XHTML (with the correct mimetype!). It works in mobile IE 6! I also tested both tests on my Android G1 device. Both fail. Can we expect contenteditable and inputmode tests to be supported one day? Do they have future relevance? A quick search shows contenteditable is still about: http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/multipage/editing.html#contenteditable I think I see inputmode seems to be removed from html5: http://lists.whatwg.org/pipermail/commit-watchers-whatwg.org/2008/001395.html
