Nice Idea. I am Merrick Schaefer a technical project manager at UNICEF. I have been at UNICEF for five years and the last three have been focused on tech for change related projects in the mobile and social networking space. My current project is a large m-health project in Malawi and Zambia focused on improving clinic services for pregnant mothers and infants. We have been working closely with the Ministries of Health to create replicable, appropriate systems that are cost effective and can scale and working with local programmers so the projects are sustainable after our team steps away.
