Re: sms uri scheme ietf draft

This sounds interesting indeed to offer a way to use SMS protocol from 
e.g. web applications.
However, in the current draft, i see a proposal for standardization for 
SMS only and not MMS. Is mms: or mmsto: part of another RFC or just a 
proprietary information like sms: and smsto: today ?

i believe that this initiative has been launched to solve the issues 
described in this thread. Nokia has realized the issue with proprietary 
implementation of this new uri-scheme, and is now working to standardize 
it. The RFC has been submitted october 23 2009, so about 3-4 monthes 
after the end of the thread
