Dear All, The ITC (www.intracen.org), has recently been given the responsibility of an interesting project aiming at bringing IT-based assistance to Liberia "market women". The ITC is already in working in Liberia, especially with bird-eye chili pepper farmers and extension workers, and is now asked to use IT solutions to help market women, a key segment of the Liberian economy. Mobiles can be a useful tool and ITC will soon verify how, in a mission planned for the first week of November. For now, the idea is to set up a pilot mobile business-matching module, enabling to exchange info about what is offered by farmers/traders inside the country and what buyers look for (essentially buyers based in Monrovia, where the demand is stronger). The ITC is looking for the assistance of an international consultant. The job description for it is attached. If you know of anyone who may be interested, please inform me ( dard "at" intracen.org ) You can also check some info on ITC and mobile-business: http://www.intracen.org/trade-at-hand/ Thanks a lot, Kind regards, Raphaël Dard ________________________________ Associate Adviser, e-Business Enterprise Competitiveness Business & Institutional Support International Trade Centre - ITC Palais des Nations 1211 Geneva 10, Switzerland dard at intracen.org Tel./Fax: +41 22 730 0587 /76 www.intracen.org/trade-at-hand
