update on MNX spec

Hi all,

It's been a while since any news on MNX and the draft specification, so I
thought it would be a good idea to send out a quick update.

The update is short: we are indeed at work on a draft, which is in the
process of taking shape, and will eventually surface in the mnx repository.
It will be similar to the previously shared MNX proposal, but not identical
to it.

My current feeling is that an initial document can be made available within
the next month or two. We realize this has been a long pause, but this
activity isn't full time for any of us and needs to be fit in around the
regular demands of work. Thanks for your continued understanding!
