The purpose of this vocabulary is to store localizable data and carry it from one step of the localization process to the other, while allowing interoperability between tools. TC Description: Advancing a multi-lingual data exchange standard for localisation. XLIFF TC currently works on the major new version of the XLIFF standard, XLIFF 2.0 that supersedes XLIFF 1.2 produced by the same TC. The 2.0 public review release contains a core specification along with 8 modules with advanced data and metadata exchange functionality in various areas such translation candidates, size restrictions, formatting preview etc. Public Review Period: The public review starts 00:00 GMT on 29 April 2013 and ends 23:59 GMT on 29 May 2013. This is an open invitation to comment. OASIS solicits feedback from potential users, developers and others, whether OASIS members or not, for the sake of improving the interoperability and quality of its technical work.
