The delay of this is due to the situation that we (= ITS IG) started the registration process without a working group maintaining ITS 1.0. Now, with the MLW-LT WG, we can write a mime type section in ITS 2.0. An important part of this is that ITS 2.0 is backwards compatibly to ITS 1.0. Exception is likely to be ruby and directionality, but I think there will be no impact on this. Example of the mime type section: http://www.w3.org/TR/SVGTiny12/mimereg.html Process for mime type: http://www.w3.org/2002/06/registering-mediatype That means: we need to contact the IETF for the mime type when entering "last call" period; that is in November. I will give myself so that we don't forget.
