Thanks for the updated text David, Two notes: === a) mtEngine value > An mtEngine attribute that contains a string uniquely identifying > a specific MT engine on a platform given in mtProducer. > - This MAY be a privately structured string, eg. Domain:IT-Pair:ITJA, > IT-JA:Medical, etc. > - This MAY be a BCP 47 language tag WITH t-extension, e.g. ja-t-it > for an Italian to Japanese MT engine > - This MAY specify a Domain as per the 6.9 Domain [link to 6.9] data category It seems (based on the first MAY) that the mtEngine value is undefined. If that is the case, we should probably avoid using MAY and just list those as example. An mtEngine attribute that contains a string uniquely identifying a specific MT engine on a platform given in mtProducer. Here are some examples of values: - A privately structured string, eg. Domain:IT-Pair:ITJA, IT-JA:Medical, etc. - A BCP 47 language tag with t-extension, e.g. ja-t-it for an Italian to Japanese MT engine - A Domain as per the 6.9 Domain [link to 6.9] data category === b) Applying to text > The MT Confidence data category applies solely to individual text elements. > The information applies to the textual content of the element, including > child elements, but excluding attributes This is a remark for all data categories, not just this one. This text, as far as I understands, covers two things: to what part of the seleced node the information applied, and whether or not it's inheritance. But, to me, reading this seems to indicates that the information can only apply to element content, which is not true because you could (and do in many cases) have translatable attributes which may be selected for any data category. Maybe: "If the selected node is an element, the information applies to its content including its child elements, but not its attributes. If the selected node is an attribute, the information applies to its value." Or something shorter better worded. -ys
