Liaison letter from ISO/IEC JTC1 SC 29/WG03 (MPEG Systems) to the Media WG

Hi Media WG participants,

W3C received a liaison letter from ISO/IEC JTC1 SC 29/WG03 (MPEG 
Systems) addressed at the Media WG. A PDF copy of the letter is

In substance, the letter informs and welcomes feedback from the group 
about:

1. An amendment to ISO/IEC 23001-7:2023 enabling support for AES-256 and 
other improvements, available at:

The letter notes the relation with the MPEG-CENC Version Support issue:

2.  An exploration document describing potential approaches to mitigate 
the "DeCENC" attack, to published on July 18th at WG3N1560.

The letter also invites experts in the group to a dedicated meeting on 
the above topics, in the San Francisco Bay Area, during the last week of 
August, with remote participation possible. Those interested should
