Hi, I'm happy to report that, following its adoption as a Media WG deliverable, WebCodecs has now started its journey on the Recommendation track. It got published as a First Publication Working Draft today: Link to the First Public Working Draft: https://www.w3.org/TR/2021/WD-webcodecs-20210408/ Link to the latest published version (will be updated whenever a new version gets published): https://www.w3.org/TR/webcodecs/ The registry and AVC (H.264) WebCodecs codec registration were published as First Public Working Drafts alongside the main WebCodecs spec too.
