Dear Thierry, > A WG meets let say monday and tuesday, and the other one meets on > wednesday and thrursday. > > this allows participants from the 2 WGs to attend *both F2F*, without > increasing travel budget. I know that, but this is not the history of these 2 groups (MAWG and MFWG). With the exception of the TPAC 2008, where these 2 groups have kicked off their activity meeting on Mon-Tue (MFWG) and Thu-Fri (MAWG), we have colocated these meetings (Ghent, December 2008), (Barcelona, April 2009). The main reason is that there are common interest and need for sharing progress but very few overlap of people willing to attend both meeting (basically, only the chairs). We have discussed that in the past, and the conclusion was we better colocate meetings on same date and location and schedule a 2 hours joint session in order to be mutually informed of progress of each group and raise any specific questions. That has worked in the past.
