Dear all, The very short minutes of today's telecon are available at http://www.w3.org/2009/11/18-mediafrag-minutes.html (and in text format below). Only Davy, Erik, Silvia and Raphael were on the phone, so we just went quickly on some issues. I'm still working on the spec document so we can have real meat to discuss next week. On a side issue, there is the question of having another f2f meeting, rather sooner than later. There is a proposal to co-locate it with the Media Annotations WG, 2 days during the week of 22-26 of February in Seoul (Korea) + a visit to Samsung. I will send another email with a poll in order to see if you would be able to make it. F2F meetings have proved to advance significantly the work of this group ... Cheers. Next F2F meeting Silvia: I don't know if I would be able to make it ... if we need another f2f, better make it earlier than later Erik: same thing here, we will go to Media Annotations anyway Silvia: it is still a long flight but better than Europe Erik: time zone are convenient also for Conrad and Silvia 2. Specification Document Raphael: I will put a small table with the key formats in Section 3.1 ... key audio and video codecs + container formats ... much smaller table ... second editorial note, add the case that we can foresee smart media caches ... that will handle range request in other units than bytes ... my final editorial note in Section 3.5 Silvia: I don't see the difference with what you wrote ... my emphasis is also on byte identity and no complexity Davy: I agree, we do not define complexity Raphael: should we care about making a URI template in complement of the BNF syntax Silvia: we have discussed that already, the conclusion is NO, we do not care ... the BNF syntax is sufficient <silvia> URI templates are an alternative to BNF syntax, so I don't think we need to take care of them <erik> good luck on doc!!! 3. AOB Raphael: that was a short telecon, I continue to work on the document so we have more meat to discuss next week [adjourned] Summary of Action Items [End of minutes] -- Raphaël Troncy EURECOM, Multimedia Communications Department 2229, route des Crêtes, 06560 Sophia Antipolis, France. e-mail: raphael.troncy@eurecom.fr & raphael.troncy@gmail.com Tel: +33 (0)4 - 9300 8242 Fax: +33 (0)4 - 9000 8200 Web: http://www.eurecom.fr/~troncy/
