We’d be interested in joining although prefer the meeting decoupled from the IETF.

Is there a good reason to couple the interim with the IETF?

[BA] People often go on vacation during summer and early fall. Nowadays companies are often parsimonious about travel so piggybacking on another meeting could provide some savings. But the only real constraint is where people are willing to go and when they can make it there.

A long time ago, we had f2f interims independent of IETF meetings.  Would one of those make sense?
