My tow cents...

http://www.ebu.ch/metadata/cs/web/ebu_ContentGenreCS_p.xml.htm

and how it maps to others (many of them based on the earlier EBU ESCORT set
(inc. TVA and subsequently mpeg-7).

But I am not sure if you meant media 'genre' or media 'type'.

Regards,

Jean-Pierre

Hi,
I would like to ask the group if anyone has knowledge about standardization
of media genres.

Are there a compilation of genres for different media types, e.g. film,
music, games etc? Any agreement or most commonly used set of genres?

/Joakim
