[MEDIAANN] Introduction + regrets

Dear all,

 

My name is Chris Poppe and recently became an official member of the Media
Annotations Working Group. As such the action point 71 (Ask AC rep of IBBT
to nominate Chris) can be closed. I met some of you at the face-to-face
meeting in Ghent where I expressed my interest in the activities of the
working group. I will go through the existing documents and ongoing
discussions as soon as possible and hope to be able to give relevant input.

 

My current research (at least in the context of the working group) is
focused on using multimedia metadata standards for annotating pictures/video
and how to use Semantic Web technologies to overcome interoperability
problems.
