Use Cases and Requirements , First Public Draft.

Felix,

The Use Cases and Requirements for Media Ontology 1.0 is currently
published at
http://dev.w3.org/2008/video/mediaann/mediaont-req/mediaont-req.html

What is the rationale for using http://dev.w3.org/ and not usual
http://www.w3.org/ ?

http://dev.w3.org/ does not seem to be available through jigedit, and
Amaya, nor Webdav. therefore not very convenient to work on. (except if
you are using XML spec).
Also no validator tools provided on this server.

Therefore I have moved the document to
http://www.w3.org/2008/video/mediaann/mediaont-req/mediaont-req.html

and have done the following edits on it

- Added proper heading section, title, version URIs.
- Added Status of this Document section, according to W3C publication rules.
- Fixed HTML errors.

1- The document now passes the HTML validator
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://www.w3.org/2008/video/mediaann/mediaont-req/mediaont-req.html

2- Broken links validator
http://validator.w3.org/checklink?url=http://www.w3.org/2008/video/mediaann/mediaont-req/mediaont-req.html

There are 14 brokens links to be fixed
mainly a serie of URIs like this
href="http://www.w3.org/2008/video/mediaann/mediaont-req/req-r04"
should probably be
href="http://www.w3.org/2008/video/mediaann/mediaont-req.html#req-r04"

I would also suggest not using absolute URIs, as it will cause problem
when moving the document to TR.
Rather use
href="mediaont-req.html#req-r04"

Also we use two URIs as examples
http://cheap-vod.com/ (1 occurrence)
http://library.myschool.edu/rose.ogv#some_fragment_identifier

I recommend using (per W3C rules based on rfc2606) to avoid non resolved
URIs

http://www.example.org/cheap-vod.com/
http://www.example.org/library.myschool.edu/rose.ogv#some_fragment_identifier

3- The document is now W3C Publication rules conformant
http://www.w3.org/2005/08/online_xslt/xslt?xmlfile=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.w3.org%2Fcgi-bin%2Ftidy-if%3FdocAddr%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.w3.org%252F2008%252Fvideo%252Fmediaann%252Fmediaont-req%252Fmediaont-req.html&xslfile=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2005%2F08%2Fonline_xslt%2Fxslt%3Fxmlfile%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2005%2F07%2Fpubrules%253Fuimode%253Dchecker_full%2526year%253D2008%2526docstatus%253Dfpwd-wd-tr%2526rectrack%253Don%2526prevrec%253Dnone%2526patpol%253Dw3c%2526normative%253Dyes%2526uri%253Dhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.w3.org%25252F2008%25252Fvideo%25252Fmediaann%25252Fmediaont-req%25252Fmediaont-req.html%2526filterValues%253D%2526nscheckmanual%253D%2526display%253Dall%2526recursive%253Doff%2526recurse_auth%253Don%26xslfile%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2005%2F09%2Fchecker%2Fframe.xsl%26display%3Dall%26recurse_auth%3Don&uimode=checker_full&filterValues=&year=2008&docstatus=fpwd-wd-tr&rectrack=on&prevrec=none&patpol=w3c&normative=yes&doc_uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2008%
