Video conference support for MBUI F2F

As you can see below, DFKI will be able to support remote participation
for those of you who are unfortunately unable to attend in person.
Please get in touch with Moritz directly if you want to take advantage
of this.

Dear partners,

DFKI can arrange a remote participation using a video conference system. We
dispose of a polycom-system that should be compatible with each other system
using the H323 protocol.
What we need to set up the connection is simply the IP address of the
partners' video conference system.

I propose that we make a list of partners asking for means for remote
participation. I can organize with each participant a quick test run
beforehand to avoid problems during our f2f meeting in Kaiserslautern.

Best regards
Moritz

Hi Moritz,

Another request for a means for remote participation. Any news on what level
of support will be possible during the meeting?

Best regards,

  Dave Raggett

Dear Dave,

Thank you. We are very pleased to receive your invitation to attend the
meeting in Kaiserslautern. We are highly motivated to contribute to the
standardization effort of the working group.
Unfortunately the current financial situation of our academic institution
does not make it possible for us to travel abroad. This may change in the
future but for now, we are in a bit of a bind.

Would it be possible to participate in this meeting via video conference?
>From Grenoble, this could be any of several high quality video
conference facilities. We have a codec Aethra Vega X5, data transfer over IP
(up to 2 MegaBits), and the IP address is 129.88.253.3, can handle up to 9
sites.

We would be very pleased if this could be arranged.

Best regards,
