I am contemplating switching the MathML sources from xmlspec (as we have used since mathml 1.1) to respec (as used for mathml-core) Further background and details and implications are in a GitHub issue at https://github.com/mathml-refresh/mathml/issues/108 and a quick first draft result of converting the sources to respec are visible in a fork of the mathml spec at https://davidcarlisle.github.io/mathml/ Note there are issues one could raise about the content of the spec (it's too big for example and not updated to take account of mathml-core) but here I'm just concerned with the format used to maintain the source of the document.
