Dear Maps for HTML CG, https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-maps4html/2018Mar/0000.html With significant progress in the MapML spec having been accomplished during OGC Testbed 13, and further work to be essentially finished by the time TPAC rolls around, I think it would be a good opportunity to meet and talk about the future, and a path forward for MapML and Maps for HTML. I believe that the time has come, or will have come as of TPAC, to propose that maps in HTML start incubation within the WICG, and TPAC will be a good opportunity for us to network with browser developers to gauge interest. In light of the generous invitation from the W3C Community and Business Groups to allow a time slot for us to meet at TPAC, I would like to propose that Maps for HTML meet there. If we get a few positive responses here, I will contact the W3C to accept their offer.
