Hi Eric, In case a formal request is preferred, please consider this email as my application to take on the editor role for the LWS Protocol specification. From day one, I have been dedicated as an editor, tirelessly improving specifications to benefit the community. This work is both my passion and life's commitment. I have contributed directly to the Solid CG as lead editor and author of key documents, including the Solid Protocol, Web Access Control, Solid QA, and the Solid Notifications Protocol, which were instrumental in chartering the Linked Web Storage Working Group. During my four years as chair, I prioritised community needs, built consensus around conflicting interests, and maintained fairness throughout. I ensured group decisions were accurately reflected, with clear changelogs, rigorous issue tracking, and consistent integration of feedback, demonstrating my commitment to collective decisions, even when they diverged from personal preferences. Beyond my editorial work, I bring decades of experience with web architecture, protocols, and implementation-driven specification development, ensuring that the work remains technically robust and meets diverse community needs. I have worked in for-profit organisations, advising engineering and executive teams on specifications, and as an open-source developer and academic researcher (PhD). I have implemented various specifications outlined in the LWS WG charter across diverse product classes, including servers, clients, and applications, and have helped others navigate these specifications, often extending to web architecture principles. I actively use the tools derived from the documents I've contributed to since 2015 (MIT) in the Solid ecosystem. My personal website, open-source projects (e.g., https://dokie.li/ ), and Solid Technical Reports reflect my commitment to both the user and implementer perspectives. My involvement extends to other W3C WGs, including Web Annotations, Social Web, and Government Linked Data, where I served as editor and author of Linked Data Notifications and Embedding Web Annotations in HTML specifications. I am committed to continuing the evolution of the LWS Protocol specification and successfully seeing it through in this working group. Please let me know if you require any additional information to assess my qualifications and contributions as an editor or my ability to work with the community in accordance with W3C processes. I can also provide references from colleagues and collaborators who can speak to my contributions and approach to specification work. Thank you for your consideration. -Sarven https://csarven.ca/#i
