Contrast controls status

gs: a bit stuck.

Alastair - has graphics. GS is managing user-agent generated controls. May
default to silver.

Icon fonts that are anchors?

SM: they are fonts and covered by WCAG SC.

gs: should do the research of the form elements etc.
adapting text

Flash Issue - should we test

wayne nearing completion on font width

sr: awaiting the font research. should add to the character spacing.
... concerned about the change of fonts. choosing fonts that are too
similar.

<laura> Adapting text user to content requirements table:
https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/low-vision-a11y-tf/wiki/Adapting_text_user_to_content_requirements_table

explain in understanding document about why character spacing is important,
and how it relates to font changes
Sprites, backgrounds, icon fonts.

Inline Semantics -
https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/low-vision-a11y-tf/wiki/New_SC%3F_In-line_Semantics

icon fonts - https://css-tricks.com/examples/IconFont/

color is covered by F24

it is the font change that is the issue.

jim: tested by changing fonts and the font icon always remained

sr: should fit in 1.3.1 - relationship is this font is really a graphic.
should be semantically marked as a graphic.

should be a technique, update the understanding document, and create
failures if needed.

does the changing fonts cover sprites, background images, etc.

sr: thinks they should fit in 1.3.1.

lc: file a bug on wcag 2.0

sr: 1.3.1 is programattically determined or available in text. need to
update

gs: add a new SC.

1.3.1 Info and Relationships: Information, structure, and relationships
conveyed through presentation can be programmatically determined or are
available in text. (Level A)

sc: if we need to file a bug in html then it will be delayed.

html semantics
https://www.w3.org/TR/html/single-page.html#elements-semantics

perhaps this is a question for html editor

Jim will write html editor about where to file a bug
transparancy issue

icons with transparency, background color is determinant of visibility of
icon

alpha value is very complicated. CSS3 getting more complicated.

is it a user css issue?

is there a css thing to turn transparency off? what will that break?

sr: need to change the blending mode. Generally
... making argument for smarter user style sheet. would need a bit more
testing

<steverep> For example: *.not(img, [role="img"]) {background-color: black;
color: white; }
html

specifying the semantic of sprites or icon-fonts so they can be
programmatically determined
