Coding variables-cause relationship

Hy    My name is Salantiu Tudor and I try to develop a cause-effect model which to be able to be extend in large timelines. In actual stage of my research I need to create for the input a matrix which to be the image of relationship between variables and causes from the reference structure.. For that, my idea is to use the sequential logic in an attempt to generate a Karnaugh map. Unfortunately from what I know the maximum number of variables that can be introduced is 6, and I do not not very well how to make a such coding. Can you offer an alternative or to recommended me a theoretical background to see how is possible and what are the steps for such a coding? It is a correct logic or is necessary to change the approach?
