Hello Thomas, 

just wanted to point out that some version of Ephedra is opensource (AGPLv3 or later) and available as part of ResearchSpace platform (https://github.com/researchspace/researchspace). We also recently added generic REST Sail that can be configured through RDF config file and used in the Ephedra federation - https://github.com/researchspace/researchspace/pull/187 and SQL one is also currently on the way - https://github.com/researchspace/researchspace/pull/194 .
