The German center of excellence for Big Data ScaDS Dresden/Leipzig organizes its 2nd international summer school on Big Data from July 11th to July 15th in Leipzig. The program aims at students and young graduates, as well other academic and industrial practitioners and researchers that operate in the field of Big Data. The summer school will teach the basics of working with large and complex amounts of data and provides an overview of relevant approaches and solutions. The presentations by internationally leading speakers will be complemented by hands-on sessions that will show how to use state-of-the art big data systems (good programming skills in Java required). Furthermore, there will be plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas and to discuss the topics with other participants and speakers. More information on the program, speakers and registration can be found on the website: www.scads.de/en/Summerschool-2016 <http://www.scads.de/en/Summerschool-2016> Early bird registration deadline: May 15th, 2016 SCADS looks forward to welcoming you to its summer school in Leipzig.
