DERI is pleased to announce the 0.6.0 release of DERI Pipes (previously known as Semantic Web Pipes). About DERI Pipes ------------------------------ Inspired by Yahoo's Pipes, DERI Pipes implement an Open Source generalization which can also deal with formats such as RDF (RDFa), Microformats and generic XML. DERI Pipes can be extended with new add-on operators and can be used as a Web tool, embedded as a Jar or as a command line tool. DERI Pipes comes with a rich web GUI where pipes can be graphically edited, debugged and run. ------------------------------- Changes for this release include: -New Operators, also covering XML and more (XQuery, Scripting javascript, python, groovy, HTML2XML, etc. ) -Pipes can be used as a command line tool on Linux or Windows -Pipe engine can be embedded in other applications -Complete refactoring allows you to add your operators easily, examples given -New installation and user documentation -Pipes web application now runs 'out of the box' in Tomcat w.
