Hello Ross, this looks very nice, and I basically have only a question related to "Web" language identifiers, used e.g. in xml:lang, html "lang" etc.: these are relying on BCP 47 http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/bcp/bcp47.txt which cites the underlying ISO standard(s), among others. It would be really nice to have a means to link BCP 47 language identifiers (that is, the parts which are relevant) to MARC codes and to Lexvo.org , but I haven't seen any efforts in that direction yet. Are you or others aware of such approaches? It is not that easy, since BCP 47 references a lot fo ISO standards, allows for IETF defined extensions etc. Felix 2010/11/9 Ross Singer <ross.singer@talis.com> > Per my email yesterday about the MARC codes, I just wrote a (really > long) blog post about what they are, what some of the design > motivations were and how you would use them when modeling your source > MARC to linked data. > > http://dilettantes.code4lib.org/blog/2010/11/linked-marc-codes/ > > I'm definitely interested in any feedback that anybody has on these. > > Thanks! > -Ross. > >
