Re: Creating members

I agree. Expanding the definition of LDP-BC and LDP-DC to cover creation 
makes sense.

Hi Arnaud:
Here is the situation as I see it:
1. All containers accept creation requests
2. For Basic Containers and Direct Containers the member is added based on 
the URI indicated in the request
3. For indirect Containers the member is added based on the content 
indicated in the request.

I'm saying that, in the definitions, we only make point 3 and not points 1 
and 2.

The definition of LDP-IC says ... 




Linked Data Platform Indirect Container (LDP-IC) 
A LDPC that is similar to a LDP-DC and is capable of accepting creation 
requests that result in members being added based on the content of its 
contained documents rather than the URIs assigned to those documents. 

I may be reading this incorrectly but it seems to say that only LDP-ICs 
accept creation requests. 



Later in the document it says that all containers accept POST and perhaps 
PUT to create members.

Please clarify.
