Dear LDA community members, We just had a great workshop at the “Mensch und Computer” <https://muc2020.mensch-und-computer.de/eng/> online conference (Workshop details <https://fg-inklusion.gi.de/aktivitaeten/workshops>). We discussed digital solutions for an inclusive mobility, to which Claudia kindly invited Sebastian and me. The focus was on indoor mapping for accessibility. We were happy to share what our LDA group is up to. We hope to have recruited more like-minded partners, since most projects faced the challenge to describe accessibility features of the indoor space. One new idea came up which we want to share with you: OpenStreetMap is world's most impactful open data set for indoor navigation information, so we consider that LDA's effort should align with OSM's standardization efforts - and OSM content can be used like other Linked Data with approaches like http://aksw.org/Projects/LinkedGeoData.html. As a small step into making this content more useful to everybody, we created an API proposal to allow OSM-based indoor navigation apps to make their content discoverable with little effort. We hope to solve the issue that detailed indoor accessibility is already on OSM, but difficult to find for end users. What you can do: - If you create an indoor navigation app, implement this API or give feedback on how to improve it: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Indoor_Navigation_App_Content_Discovery_API - If you have more experience than us how to align this proposal with other Linked Data concepts for open data APIs, feel free to add other API proposals to the page or use the discussion page for feedback or concerns.
