LBD Community, The ASHRAE 223 Semantic Interoperability Working Group has been meeting regularly on the off-weeks from the LBD meetings and is currently reviewing existing ontologies for reference including SSN, BOT, REC, SAREF. We would like to have someone from this community present the LDB efforts with these other ontologies emphasizing how the definitions align and how they differ and how we might avoid coming up with wildly conflicting views. For example, there has already been some effort in aligning REC and BOT with Brick, some of that work may be out of scope for 223 but some of it is. There is some notion of a distinction between "faceplate properties" and "observable properties" and "actuatable properties" (using the SSN/SOSA concept) which it seems like it can be resolved with some property modeling best practices.
