Hi Ben, I’m not sure where you expect answers to this request, here to the issue or the excel sheet, but my two cents on this: I think that the need for certain functions should be first driven by use cases and then personal agreement could come to verify if these functions would indeed be part of a first set of default functions. Btw, I recall the intention in the past was to consider the Open Refine set of functions as the default as these are the most frequent encountered cleaning functions, that’s not considered anymore? Any validation would be appreciated, so feel free to comment, add your name to functions that you really care about or really don't want to have. We're well aware that this will only be a first set and a bit of a moving target, so I personally would suggest to have a first version out asap, reality will tell us what we missed later on :). In two weeks, I'll finalize a first version.
