Re: Unconference Discussion Topic - Declarative XR

John,

Accessibility has been a concern of mine too. I am looking for the
widest possible audience. XSeen tags are elements in the DOM with
additional data packed into them to support the scene graph and related
information. If the user is using a browser that supports the ARIA
attributes, then that browser will continue to support them in the same
manner. I do think additional vocabulary will be necessary to handle
objects and interactions in the extra dimension. It will also be
necessary to allow for object identification for the partially sighted
(e.g., color-blind).

XR has been mostly visual, I'm sure part of that is due to the computer
resources necessary to generate the required graphics. Many 3D players
support spatialized audio and there are JavaScript libraries that
provide much of the needed support. I will be including that feature
into XSeen in the next couple of months.

It is my understanding that there will be audio and video connections
during the F2F. If there is enough interest the declarative discussion
may get one or both of those connections.
