Dear Lisa, Could we talk about scheduling a call-in appointment for me to defend our New Proposal before the UTC? I am working on getting the documents to Debbie Anderson now. The documents should be in shortly. I can call by phone or skype as the committee prefers. Thanks, Greg >>>>> Sent: Monday, December 28, 2015 6:10 AM Subject: RE: Defense of NP before UTC I can answer on behalf of Michel: Yes, you are welcome to call in during the UTC (January 25-28, 2016). Because of scheduling (and your time zone), you should arrange in advance the date/time with the UTC Chair, Lisa Moore (lisam@us.ibm.com). The conference call-in number will be at the top of the UTC agenda, which will be posted before the meeting. You can also call in via Skype, I believe, though it doesn't always work very well. As Michel notes, it is best to submit a document with the proposed changes so the UTC can have a physical document to review. You can include requests for editorial changes (such as for Baludas) in your document. Editorial changes are often forwarded on to the Unicode Editorial Committee by the UTC, but any glyph changes will need to be discussed in the UTC. Documents should be sent at least one week in advance of the UTC (hence by 18 January) to: docsubmit@unicode.org. I also run a script ad hoc group that meets about 2 weeks before the UTC and makes recommendations to the UTC (and helps it run more smoothly). Ideally, it would be best to submit the document earlier - say, by by 11 January. If you wish, I'd be happy to work with you on the format, so the document is easy for the UTC to follow. Let me know if you have any questions. With best wishes, Debbie >>>>>
