Vertical text support in browsers, tests

this is not germaine to the discussion about variants, but for your
information i have begun developing some simple tests for implementation
of CSS writing modes, accompanied by results for major browsers. (For
many more tests, see the CSS WG test suite.)

you can find the first set of tests at
http://www.w3.org/International/tests/repo/results/writing-mode-vertical

interesting to note is that Edge (but not IE) supports the standard CSS
properties for writing-mode: vertical-lr/rl (though doesn't handle forms
as expected).

there are also some interactive pages that allow you to experiment with
CSS properties. These can be found at
http://localhost/International/articles/vertical-text/tests/mongolian
http://localhost/International/articles/vertical-text/tests/mongolian-forms
http://localhost/International/articles/vertical-text/tests/mongolian-table

http://localhost/International/articles/vertical-text/tests/chinese-forms

hope that helps,
