Dear Advisory Committee representative,
Chairs,

The charters for the following groups have been extended until 30
September 2018.

- Internationalization Working Group [1]
- Internationalization Interest Group [2]

The I18n WG and its IGs continue to have a vital role for the Web and
within W3C. The W3C management team agreed to extend the current
charters in order to consolidate developments on the
Internationalization Sponsorship Program and the Encoding specification.

The groups are currently chaired by: Addison Phillips (W3C Invited
Expert) for I18n WG, Martin Dürst (W3C Invited Expert) for I18n IG, Phil
Ritchie (VistaTEC) for ITS IG.

More information about the groups and information about participation
can be found on their home pages.

- Internationalization Working Group [4]
- Internationalization Interest Group [5]
- Internationalization Tag Set Interest Group [6]

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact
Richard Ishida, Staff Contact, at ishida@w3.org.

This extension follows section 5.2.5 of the W3C Process Document:
   https://www.w3.org/2018/Process-20180201/#charter-extension
