Chaps, I have updated the editor's copy of Authoring Techniques for XHTML & HTML Internationalization: Specifying the language of content http://www.w3.org/International/geo/html-tech/tech-lang.html Changes are marked with delete/insert markup. In particular, I implemented the new approach to signalling issues for user agents as discussed on Wednesday, ie. no baseline any more, just latest versions. This has an effect on the way I present the summary of issues at the beginning of each technique. I now use an icon for the UA if and only if there is an issue. Actually, I think that's much cleaner now than before, as well as simpler. I also eliminated references to the outline document - since we now have the new techniques index material. ***Please read this document and send comments by email before Wednesday***, when we'll discuss comments that need discussion. We are close to being able to publish. Main things to do: [1] check that all comments received during the wide review phase have been addressed [2] run tests on latest browsers and update results [3] review the resource information provided against improvements made while doing the techniques index [4] implement any points raised by you guys Cheers, RI ============ Richard Ishida Internationalization Lead W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) http://www.w3.org/People/Ishida/ http://www.w3.org/International/ http://people.w3.org/rishida/blog/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/ishida/
