charters approval and call for participation.

The Director is pleased to announce the recharter of the 
Internationalization Working Group and the Internationalization Interest 
Group:

   https://www.w3.org/International/groups/wg/charter.html

The groups are chartered through 30 September 2024 .

The W3C Internationalization (i18n) Activity works with W3C working 
groups and liaises with other organizations to make it possible to use 
Web technologies with different languages, scripts, and cultures.

Please use the following form to have your organization join the Working 
Group. The form will also instruct you how to nominate participants:
   https://www.w3.org/2004/01/pp-impl/32113/join

If your organization is currently in the Working Group, please note that 
you will need to have it re-join the Working Group as the new charter is 
now operating under the revised 2020 Patent Policy. This Call for 
Participation triggers the start of the 45 days grace period. See:

There's no impact on existing participants in the Interest Group. 
Individuals can join the Interest Group by subscribing to the mailing

Please consider diversity when proposing people to participate in W3C 
groups. Representation from a wider group of people, especially people 
from under-represented groups, is vital for creating web standards that 
meet the needs of the wider web community.

The Working Group chair is Addison Phillips (Amazon). The Interest Group 
chair is Martin Dürst (W3C Invited Expert).

The Team Contacts for the Working Group are Richard Ishida 
<ishida@w3.org>, Fuqiao Xue <xfq@w3.org>, Atsushi Shimono 
<atsushi@w3.org> and Bert Bos <bert@w3.org>, for a total of 1.2 FTE. The 
Team Contact for the Interest Group is Richard Ishida for 0.03 FTE.
