seeking update on progress on whatwg ruby [I18N-ACTION-771]

Hello Chaals,

I was actioned [1] by the I18N WG with following up on a conversation some of us had at TPAC regarding synchronization of Ruby support into the WHATWG version of the HTML spec. The concern was the reintroduction of tabular ruby support (rt and rb elements, etc.) such as described at [2].

Could you let us know what the status is (if any) or what the best next steps should be for us to follow up? If you had a proposal for whatwg, could you pass it by us?
