> 1. How common is hanging punctuation in Korean? Unlike Japanese or Simplified Chinese, Korean text does not use hanging punctuation in standard horizontal layout, even though rare exceptions exist, they are not standard practice. To adhering to line-start prohibition rules (avoiding periods or commas at the start of a line), Korean adopts the approach of wrapping the preceding character to the next line rather than hanging the punctuation mark in the margin. It has been applied to Hangul 2025 and MS Office Word programs, so the Web is also required to follow it. > 2. Which punctuation marks are usually hung? Not applicable, as Korean does not use hanging punctuation. > 3. Are there any examples of hanging punctuation in vertical writing mode? The vertical writing mode is nonexistent in modern Korea (2000~). -- GitHub Notification of comment by anawhj Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/klreq/issues/62#issuecomment-3649029519 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
