[i18n-drafts] Pull Request: Update the term for Chinese mainland

xfq has just submitted a new pull request for https://github.com/w3c/i18n-drafts:

== Update the term for Chinese mainland ==
Recently, the Hong Kong Legislative Council Secretariat notified all departments that, in official documents released to the public, the English translation of 中国内地 will be uniformly changed to "Chinese mainland", and "mainland China" will no longer be used.

This adjustment aligns with the English translation standards for Chinese political documents.

For a long time, official translations of Chinese official documents have translated 中国大陆/内地 as "the Chinese mainland", "the mainland of China", or "China's mainland" (see 外文出版社《中国时政话语翻译基本规范》) because this expression is clear and avoids any ambiguity (intentional or unintentional). In political contexts, "mainland China" could be understood or misinterpreted as a "mainland China" and a "non-mainland China" co-exist, thus raising sensitive issues such as sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Although there are terms such as "mainland Britain", "mainland Europe", and "mainland Australia" used elsewhere, aligning with official terminology is more rigorous.
